PRACTICE EXPERIENCE:
Since joining the firm in 1970, Mr. Arrington's practice has been devoted exclusively to representing management in the labor and employment law fields. He has broad experience in matters before the National Labor Relations Board, including union representation elections and unfair labor practice cases, and in the defense of claims and lawsuits based upon allegations of employment discrimination and wrongful discharge. He is skilled in negotiation and administration of union contracts and in dispute resolution through mediation and arbitration.

A major component of his practice is providing counseling and assistance in all aspects of human resource management for the purpose of effectuating strategic business planning, strengthening employee morale, maintaining effective productivity and supervision, avoiding union organization, and minimizing exposure to employee claims and litigation. He regularly assists in the training of supervisors and other management personnel and provides practical guidance for compliance with Title VII, ADEA, ADA, FMLA, sexual harassment prohibitions, FLSA, NLRA, WARN, OSHA, and other federal and state employment laws and regulations.

Mr. Arrington has represented a wide spectrum of industries, including air transportation, manufacturing, health care, refining, wood products, food processing, warehousing, wholesale distribution, and retailing.
