PRACTICE EXPERIENCE:
Mr. Downing joined the firm in 1963, and his experience covers the full range of labor and employment law and employee relations representing management in manufacturing industries, marine transportation, trucking, banking, forest products, paper, furniture, metal fabrication, and chemical products. His work is devoted principally to compliance with employment antidiscrimination laws, union avoidance, union decertification, negotiation and administration of labor contracts, merger and acquisition labor problems, and development and administration of personnel policies and employment contracts.
