Bart N. Sisk
For over thirty years, Mr. Sisk has represented employers in all areas of labor and employment law, including: representation of employers across the United States in defending against union organizing, including multi-facility organizing, corporate campaigns and representation of employers in union decertification elections. Mr. Sisk has negotiated collective bargaining agreements for employers in healthcare, forestry/wood products, food processing, warehouse, distribution, transportation, and other industries. He has successfully defended employers charged with violation of collective bargaining agreements including arbitration of issues related to discipline/termination and contract interpretation. Mr. Sisk has assisted employers in preparation of strike contingency plans and responding to picketing and other mass demonstrations by employees and unions. He has represented employers before state and federal agencies including the NLRB, EEOC, OFCCP, DOL Wage-Hour Administration, and OSHA. Mr. Sisk counsels employers on labor and employment issues related to reductions in force, plant closings, the sale and acquisition or merger of a business, provides advice concerning day-to-day employee relations issues, reviews and drafts policies and procedures, employee handbooks, employment agreements, including non-compete agreements and conducts training on union avoidance, recognizing and responding to sexual harassment, and compliance with other employment regulations.
Mr. Sisk is a native of Memphis, Tennessee, is AV-rated by Martindale-Hubbell, has been recognized by the Best Lawyers in America© in the areas of Employment Law-Management; Labor Law-Management; and Litigation-Labor and Employment.
