Practice Overview

Litigator Elizabeth Bloch draws on a rich background to assist clients with a range of labor and employment disputes, including issues heard in the appellate courts. In this capacity Beth draws on her experience in employment and civil rights cases in both federal and state courts throughout Louisiana, including in many Title VII and whistleblower actions.

Beth’s people skills enable her to pick up on conversational nuances and preferences, which helps her put clients at ease, especially when they first become aware of lawsuits. She assures them that she will do everything possible to take care of them and their matters and then follows up with them to ensure they’re completely comfortable with every step they take together as a team.

Beth obtained valuable professional experience prior to attending law school. Her position as an executive assistant in a real estate company gave her keen insight into the perspectives of corporate clients, and her decade as a litigation paralegal provided her with essential knowledge of working effectively in various jurisdictions.

Prior to joining Kullman, Beth served as a judicial clerk for Judge James P. Doherty, Jr., in Louisiana’s 27th Judicial District, St. Landry Parish, where she got a close-up view of the legal system from the perspective of the bench. Recently, she was admitted to practice in the U.S. Supreme Court.

After graduating college, Beth worked with at-risk teenage girls at a residential outdoor program alongside counselors, mental health providers, and other professionals. As an attorney, she served on the CJA panel in the USDC, Western District of Louisiana. In handling a case for a federal public defender who was conflicted out of the criminal matter, Beth drew on her stellar advocacy skills to secure a greatly reduced sentence for her client. In addition to Louisiana, Beth has lived in locations as diverse as New York City, Arkansas, and Austria. As a result of these and other diverse experiences, Beth takes an open-minded approach and connects naturally with people from a wide range of backgrounds.
